I thought this laptop was a good deal for the price I purchased it at, [...] including rebate. Although there seems to be some price changes lately which would make things different.

The laptop is good. It's got everything I need. Windows 7 seems to work well.

My only complaint would be the design of the battery. Personally I would have preferred if the extended battery stuck out of the back of the laptop, instead of the bottom. This would have made it easier to carry around and place in my briefcase.

But certainly not a deal breaker.

This notebook is amazing. It's worth every single cent! I work with video and photo editing and I have to deal with HD files sometimes, and this computer is always perfect for the job. I have it for 3 months now and never had ANY problems with it. It didn't even froze once! Before buying it I read some bad reviews about the keyboard, but I love that keyboard! Not sure if they changed it or if that's the old one they were talking about, but there's no problems with it at all! I still can't believe I paid this price on such an amazing item like this. It was a bargain!

La compre en diciembre a 714$ por amazon lo mejor en compras por internet fuera de USA, La maquina es en especificaciones tal como se describe en la pag. En mi opinion es muy buena maquina precio/valor, hice una imagen inicial del D/D en un DVD-DL por seguridad, ya que es muy engorroso o casi imposible instalarle otro S.O, Saludos desde Mcbo. This laptop has everything you can ask for. It is cheaper than similar laptops with the same components but you don't sacrifice value or quality. I would recommend this to anybody from teens for homework or adults for business. You will not be disappointed.

About the tx1410us,
Pros: light, small and fast. A cool looking laptop with tablet pc features that you won't find at this price.
Cons: a lot of unnecessary HP software (that can be removed). It gets pretty hot after running for a while (especially on the top right corner).
